      • Enter a not guilty plea: You can do this by mail or at the court before the due date on the ticket.

      • Bring evidence: If you have evidence that you weren't speeding, such as a photo of an obscured speed sign, a dashcam video, or GPS data, bring it to court. 

      • Hire a lawyer: A traffic ticket attorney can assess the traffic laws in your area and help you determine the best course of action. A lawyer can also help you convince a judge to dismiss your ticket.
