Second Traffic Offenses

⚖️ Did you know? There are harsher penalties for second traffic offenses in Texas.❗

    • Surcharges - Certain traffic offenses, including a second or subsequent DWI, can result in surcharges for up to three years after the offense. The surcharge for a second or subsequent DWI is $1,500

    • Moving violations - A driver's license can be suspended in Texas if they have too many moving violations within a 12-month or 24-month period. For example, a driver can have their license suspended if they have four or more moving violations within a 12-month period, or seven or more within a 24-month period.
