Another traffic ticket myth that you always avoid is believing that not signing the traffic ticket will help you prevent fines and penalties. Signing the traffic ticket is not an admission of guilt, but is simply a confirmation that you received the ticket. Even if you refuse to sign the traffic ticket, you cannot claim that you didn't receive the ticket. Believing that you do not have to pay for the traffic ticket just because you have not signed the ticket, can cost you high. Not paying for it even lead to extra fines as well as possible criminal penalties.
